I am home! In Holland at least.
Good to be back. Satisfied. Resting now. praying were God will lead me next in this journey of faith. Cause that's what He likes, that I keep living a live trusting Him in all things... sometimes a bit scary for a human who can not oversee all things... :-)
God has been good to me in Africa! Protected me from sickness, thought me more about myself, Him. What He basically wants is that we our hearts become pure (like a child!) so we can contain Him and His life giving Spirit so that He can work through us. When we give Him space our only job is to remain in Him, and He will lead us and do the everlasting fruitbearing work through us! remaining in Him requires obeying His voice however, and that is not always easy. Especcially the flesh cries out at times: NO I don't like that idea! No I don't want to give away my stuff! NO I don't feel like praying you know.
So great about being in Africa is that the people still have FAITH! In Mozambique where I was the people were hungry! They don't have to reason everything out with their minds, they just want to run after God! Well that's what we westerners did with them, dancing and kneeling down in the dirth: repent, turn to Your Maker and call on His name. Really when we turn to Him with all our hearts He is there!
Death is all over the place in Africa, but mind you: Life also!! LIFE through the Spirit, these people know how to worship the King of Kings, dancing till deep in the night giving Him their all even though the circumstances are not always (not often glorious!!) That is grace and worshiping Him in the power of His Spirit!
If you ever have the change I can really recommend visiting your african brothers and sisters!

Welkom thuis!
Gello Gepke! Gow are you? This is Matt Wilmeth. I worked at teh Jordan a couple of years ago, not sure if you remember me. Well, it's great to read what God is doing in your life! I bet Mozambique was wonderful! I was on a road once that was half Mozambique and half Malawi--right on the border. That's the closest I was. I'll be in DR Congo this summer, and am very excited. Keep going where He leads!
