Dear all!!
I haven't beenwiting much at all on my blog so I can really imagine if you gave up keeping track of it.... But Hurray if you do read it, then I have some news to share with you! Hope you are doing allright! It 's great to be in Mozambique! Most I learn just from being... surrounded by a different culture... poverty in the natural but often soo rich spiritually! It's awesome to learn from the people here. And to learn for example about how do you deal with people that have so few possessions and you yourself having relatively a lot... really shocking sometimes. I get a bigger heart just by being surrounded by 200 kids, 150 students and 200 or so Mozamican pastors who often do not even have aspare coin but see people being healed or even raised from the dead! Not that that happens all the time, neither is it the most important thing I am learning ( I knew it but you know, when you are in it and the knowledge becomes an experience the truth hits deeper. The presence of God, the Father who loves us so much, Jesus who died for us, the Spirit still speaking to us and guiding us, that's what really makes the difference, not being rich or poor, healthy or sick. Though it is a great blessing to have a bit more possessions not to speak about being healthy versus being sick, man what a blessing it is to be healthy!
It is shocking to know that there is people out there starving of hunger and beig blind/ crippled because of malnutrition ... I know I cannot carry that load, but I can become still listen to God, pray, and obey Him in the small thing as carig for my neighbour... (who is your neighbour if you have twenty kids around you all wanting clothes or shoes... that's when wisdom comes in! A challenge too to built a relationship with such a child (not part of the center of Iris but living in the closeby village) and to get so far that they don't like you because of what you have but because of who you are!
It is awesome to be here and Iris Ministries is doing an awesome work feeding thousands of people daily and teaching them about Love. That's what we all need to learn!
Deus te ama!
Ciao!
